As of the 1st Nov 2016, the Australian federal law changed–> Its legal now to grow cannabis strictly for medicine, make your own herbal medicines from your home grown and it’s legal to take or administer medicines made from your cannabis to all your loved ones and yourself. That is called, Self medication.

Self medication is a human right and the Australian court of law fully accepts the right to self medicate.

Each state, so far has only written laws for business people, if you want to sell medicinal cannabis products then these current business laws are for you. go get your license.

If you just want to self medicate with cannabis, then these current business laws do not apply to you.

There are no federal laws for Self medication to date.
Each state must now write a law to say who can self medicate with cannabis, eg terminally ill, how eg license, where, etc,,,,,, but no states have written any laws for the who, how or where to get license for self medication, so you don’t need a license to self medicate as yet.

Federal law trumps state laws every time.
The TGA has moved cannabis out of S9 (no medicinal use) to S8 which means that judges can now accept that cannabis does has medicinal qualities, and in-turn, accept medicinal evidence as a defense.
You might still get busted and have to go to court, but you will win the case, they will have to pay you any incurred costs as long as you claim “strictly medicinal use, not for sale”. Then the only way to prosecute you is to prove recreational use or that you sell it.
There is plenty of good solid data to support medical use, if ever it went that far, you would win the case.
The truth is,, if you are a medicinal user then you are legal.
Feel confident you are not a criminal in the eyes of the law anymore. You can now grow and make your own medicines from cannabis,,, at least until the new laws for self medication are written in your local state.
