There are many different strains and varieties of cannabis. Most have medicinal value. So don’t worry too much about getting the right strain, unless you have a specific need, eg allergies or sensitivities, most strains that contain THC will do fine.
Strains rich in CBD have medicinal value too. There are over 400 other cannabinoids that we simple don’t know, what they do, or how they interact in the entourage effect. Most of this story has never been told.
There are two main varieties of medicinal cannabis we know the most about :-
1) Sativa – Stimulant. Very high THC content. Gives you a euphoric, uplifting feeling and a general sense of well being. The effects are more cerebral and energizing.
<p class=”pos-title”>It can be used to treat Depression, Cancer, Parkinson’s Disease, refractory seizers in pediatric patients, appetite stimulation, migraines, chronic pain and nausea, and as an expectorant.

Durban Poison Cannabis and Malawi Gold are excellent Sativa strains. There are many more Sativa strains available.2) Indica – Suppressant. High in both THC and CBD Provide a pleasant body relaxing sensation.
It is commonly used for, anxiety, pain relief, Multiple Sclerosis and Epilepsy. and Insomnia.
Kush and Afgan are considered to be among the best Indica Cannabis strains. Again, there are many more Indica strains available.
There are also strains which are a combination of Indica and Sativa.
Hybrids – are strictly the first cross of Sativa and Indica. Better than both the parents, hybrids have the highest yields of the most potent medicinal qualities. Very high in both THC and CBD.
There are many Hybrids available, but they will not breed true. That means, to grow them again they must be cloned or feminized, or you must buy the seed again.
